FUNDRAISING
Brizzie to the Bay

The MS Society of Queensland is responsible for fundraising initiatives to support people with Multiple Sclerosis in Queensland and contribute to vital research to find a cure for MS. Generous individuals, community groups and corporations contribute to our fundraising programs by making donations, participating or sponsoring events like, the MS Brissie to the Bay Bike Ride or MS Readathon and remembering the MS Society of Queensland in their Will.

Your donations and participation provide vital services and information to help people with MS manage this unpredictable disease. In addition, you will be contributing to research to find a cure for this mystery disease.

MAKE A BEQUEST

Many people spend time making plans and thinking about the future, but overlook one of the most important responsibilities - making a Will. About one-third of all Australians die without leaving a Will. When you make a Will you have the opportunity to ensure that you provide for loved ones and friends. It is the only way you can be sure your assets and possessions are distributed as you wish.

Your Will also gives you an opportunity to leave a very special gift to organisations you admire or which have played an important part in your life. This type of gift, known as a bequest, is the ultimate expression of your generosity. Bequests represent different things to different people.

For some, they provide an opportunity to leave behind an important legacy after a lifetime of giving. For others, they offer the chance to fulfill their dream to provide a significant donation at a level of giving that may have been impossible during their lifetime.

When you leave a bequest to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Queensland, you guarantee that your generosity and values will continue to live on well beyond your own lifetime.

Should you decide to remember the Society in your Will, the suggested wording for inclusion is:

"I hereby bequeath the sum of $ [..........] to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Queensland of 286 Gladstone Road, Dutton Park, and I declare that the receipt of its treasurer or other proper officer shall be a sufficient discharge to my trustees."

Click here for further information, or to arrange a confidential meeting to discuss leaving a bequest, contact our MS office by email: mssociety@msqld.org.au or phone 1800 287 367 .
