Counselling
The Society offers counselling and support services to people with MS, their family and friends. This is a free service that is provided by phone and face to face (home visits can be arranged if required). counselling is offered for life issues that have been affected by MS such as relationship and family issues, employment, depression, anxiety, loss and grief etc. A non-directive approach to counselling is used where the person is helped to recognise options available and practical solutions to practical problems. The person will be provided with information, advice on community resources available and where necessary referrals to other appropriate services, to enable them to cope with/resolve the difficulties they are facing.

The counselling service provides the opportunity to be listened to and to explore current difficulties in a safe, supportive, empathic environment.

Individual needs assessment
This assessment determines the ongoing relationship between the client and the Society.
