Bill Shorten welcomes Oceans of Hope to Sydney

20 May 2015

On behalf of Federal Labor, please accept my congratulations and best wishes for World MS Day 2015. The arrival of Oceans of Hope is a wonderful way to commemorate and celebrate this important day.

A global circumnavigation by a crew that includes people living with multiple sclerosis is a wonderful idea and a resonant symbol that reflects the resilience and ambition of the MS community, their families and advocates.

The ongoing success of World MS Day is a testament to the tireless and valuable work of MS Australia and the global MS community, in raising global awareness of multiple sclerosis.

My best wishes for another World MS day through which stories are shared, MS advocates and families come together and the campaigning continues, both in our community and across the globe.

Bill Shorten, Leader of the Opposition
