MS Australia writes to Federal Parliament

21 May 2014

In the lead up to World MS Day, MS Australia will write to all sitting federal politicians (all 252 members) expressing our concerns about proposed measures included in the 2014-15 Federal Budget that we believe will impact people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS).

MS Australia will specifically ask for an exemption for people with MS from proposed changes to the Disability Support Pension and we will express concerns about the increased costs of medicines and out-of-pocket-expenses for people with MS included in the Budget.

You can read a version of our letter here sent to Prime Minister Tony Abbott: MS Australia - Letter to the Prime Minister.

We look forward to sharing responses from MPs as they come in.
