Are you passionate about driving positive change for Australians living with multiple sclerosis (MS)?

MS Australia is calling for expressions of interest to diversify our Lived Experience Expert Panel (LEEP), an initiative designed to gather expert insights from the MS community and ensure a strong, authentic voice guides our work in advocacy, research, policy, education, and awareness. 

About the LEEP  

The LEEP is a formal advisory group that provides essential insights from a broad spectrum of lived experiences to support and shape MS Australia’s initiatives, the MS research community and a range of organisations across disability, health and medicines. By contributing feedback and advice, LEEP members strengthen our advocacy efforts and ensure the MS community’s needs are at the heart of our programs.

Who Should Apply?  

MS Australia is seeking applications from Australians with personal and professional experience relevant to living with MS or supporting someone with MS.  

Please note that this is a targeted application round to fill gaps in the current LEEP membership and we are especially interested in individuals who have experience in or identify as any of the following target groups:  

• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living with MS 

• Culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) people living with MS 

• People living with MS or carers of people living with MS who are currently receiving aged care services 

• Carers of people living with MS 

• Men under 50 years living with MS 

• People living with neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) or myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody disorder (MOGAD)  

• People living with MS who have expertise in nutrition 

Successful applicants will be selected for their ability to help achieve the goals of the LEEP and contribute meaningful feedback on MS Australia’s policies, research, and communications. Priority will be given to applicants who fit one of the target groups outlined above.
