Latitude gradient – MS in a minute

The latitude gradient refers to the fact that those people living at higher latitudes are more likely to develop MS.

So that means in the northern hemisphere, those people living closer to the north pole are more likely to develop MS. In the southern hemisphere, those living closer to the south pole are more likely to develop MS.

For Australians, it means if you live in the southern parts of the country you are seven times more likely to develop MS than those in the northern parts.

Our MS in a Minute videos were created to provide fast and factual definitions of commonly used terms in MS.
