MS Australia supports research activity in areas where Australian scientists will have the greatest impact on MS research worldwide. We do this using two main approaches:
We support investigator-led research projects that are selected through a robust grant review process;
and we coordinate and fund major national collaborations, or research ‘platforms’, to address key scientific questions that no one researcher could solve in isolation.
Through this two-pronged approach, we aim to accelerate further significant breakthroughs in our knowledge of MS to work towards better treatments, prevention and a cure for MS.
Progress reports are now completed in the online Grant Portal. You can no longer complete progress reports by emailing the word documents to MS Australia.
The MS Research in Australia: Resource Landscape Report was envisaged as a resource for key research enablers and researchers to reduce the fragmentation of knowledge of the resources available to MS researchers in Australia, and to highlight the gaps for future resource development.
MS Australia works with the broader national and international scientific and health professional community to identify key scientific questions that no one researcher can solve in isolation.
MS Australia has been receiving an ever-growing number of applications. In order to ensure that we effectively use the limited funding envelope we have available, we have introduced the following changes.
