From our CEO

It’s on again, bigger, brighter and better than ever before. It’s our iconic annual fundraising event for MS research – The May 50K!

Participating is easy and – most importantly – a whole lot of fun. Supporting The May 50K as a participant or donating to a friend, family member, or work colleague is critical to ensuring we can continue to keep our world-class MS researchers doing what they do best – pursuing cures, developing better treatments and finding ways to prevent MS altogether.

This year is particularly significant, as the world’s leading MS societies who support research work together to implement the new Pathways to Cures global research roadmap. This will result in closer collaboration and shared priorities that can lead us further and faster down the pathways to cures.

For The May 50K in 2023, I will be challenging myself to run 200km to raise funds for research, and I’ll be doing it for my cousin Clare and my niece’s partner, Joseph.

Every dollar you raise in The May 50K will help our researchers and our research team to support our acclaimed grant program, our fellowships, our incubator grants for novel research, and our collaborative platforms that support a range of critical priorities, including genetics, Vitamin D, the MS Brain Bank and our invaluable longitudinal MS study, the AMSLS.

So, whether you walk, run, roll, skip, hop or jump over your chosen distance, please sign up for The May 50K, form a team if you can, have fun with the new app, and fundraise as much as you can to take us closer to a cure.
