MS Research Australia is honoured to be recognised as the winner in the Impact Through Events category for Kiss Goodbye to MS’ virtual community fundraising challenge, The May 50K, at the FIA 2021 Awards for Excellence in Fundraising.
The FIA awards recognise the outstanding initiatives and innovative efforts of professional fundraisers, volunteers and organisations across Australia, by showcasing the creative, impactful and successful work they undertake every day.
The May 50K is an entirely virtual, peer to peer community fundraising challenge, where participants are asked to run or walk 50km throughout May whilst raising funds for life-changing MS research.
This recognition gives credit to our amazing community, who despite all the challenges 2020 brought, rallied together and collectively raised over $6.6 million for life-changing MS research in The May 50K 2020. In less than two years, The May 50K has now raised more than $8.7 million to improve the lives of people living with MS, by accelerating research into the prevention, better treatments and cures for MS.
We are thrilled to see The May 50K being recognised and celebrated alongside its peers and are looking forward to seeing what we can achieve together for MS research in The May 50K 2021.
