MS Mythbusters – Vitamin D has serious side effects

Our series of MS Mythbusters aims to dispel some of the outdated, inaccurate or confusing information you may have heard or read.

On this episode, Dr Steve Simpson-Yap busts the myth that Vitamin D has serious side effects. Although extremely high levels of vitamin D can lead to people having unhealthy levels of calcium or phosphate in their blood; the amount of vitamin D needed for this to occur is impossible.
