Hunt for a cure: MS Australia commits $4.5 Million to cutting-edge MS research

Australian research to uncover the genes that could repair the damage inflicted by multiple sclerosis (MS) will soon be underway; one of 17 cutting-edge projects to receive funding today from MS Australia's latest $4.4m grants round.

MS Australia-funded research projects (2024)

Each year MS Australia holds two grant rounds to select the top MS research projects to fund. Further information about the comprehensive grant review process is available here and general information about the research we fund here. 

In our February 2024 major grant round, 17 new research grants have been awarded, including new project grants, innovative pilot (incubator) grants, scholarships and fellowships which will run over the next one to five years.
